In The Beginning

Monday December 10, 2007

In the beginning, there was a seed, because all life on Earth begins in the same way...a seed is planted and then it either grows or it doesn't, but a seed must always be planted. With this blog it is my intention to plant many many seeds into the hearts and minds all who read here. That is my intention and I will hold that intension for the highest good for all involved. I still am not too sure about how this blog works; I am however an expert in the area of sowing so therefore I am always looking for fertile ground.

Oh, by the way....please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Linda Borghi, and I am a farmer. That is a perfect place to start with a bone of contention. I am 52 years old and throughout my lifetime I have been asked on occasion what profession I was involved in. I am a farmer I would reply and that would immediately incite laughter from the person asking the question. Up until the age of 50, still believing that the reaction to my profession was a bit odd... I would just brush it off. But as of late the reaction of laughter has incited a bit of anger in me. I am a farmer and further more....without farmers, life on Earth as we know it does not exist because we need food to live.

Food to live is not just a concept but also a reality. To take that reality to the next level, so to speak, we need to look at just what the word Food means and break it down accordingly. I believe there are only 2 categories of Food, Food with poison and Food without poison. Both of these areas are of great concern to me and because I am the blogger I get to chose what to blog on. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship……connecting all of us to each other. Wonderful….just wonderfull…. I will leave you today with something that will give you a bit more insight into who I am:

Taken from:

Man of the Trees

I Believe in the oneness of mankind and of all living things, and the interdependence of each and all.

I Believe that unless we play fair to the earth and practice the law of return, we cannot exist physically; unless we play fair to our neighbor, we cannot exist socially or internationally; unless we play fair to our better selves, we cannot live as individuals.

I Believe in the development of a fuller understanding of the true relationship between all forms of life, in an endeavor to maintain a natural balance between mineral, vegetable, animal, and human life.

I Believe that the blossoming desert foretold by the prophets of old is now being fulfilled by the steady reclamation of the Sahara. This should be the scientific answer to the world’s dilemma for it will provide a one-world purpose unifying East and West.

I Believe that the Lord’s Prayer has been answered and that it is in the process of being fulfilled. We are entering a new era of human power and all horizons are becoming luminous for this coming together of the sons of men, and that the Earth will indeed become as a garden of paradise.

I Believe that this generation will either be the last to exist in any semblance of a civilized world, or it will be the first to have the vision, the bearing, and the greatness to say: “I will have nothing to do with this destruction of life, I will play no part in this devastation of the land; I am destined to live and work for peace for I am morally responsible for the world of today and the generation of tomorrow."

I Pray that I may be just to the Earth beneath my feet, to the neighbor by my side, and to the light that comes from above and within, that this wonderful world of ours may be a little more beautiful and happy for my having lived in it. So may it be.

My thoughts exactly Be Well!

Comments:

Thank you, Linda. My only eyebrow raising in the excerpt from Man of the Trees is "mineral, vegetable, animal, and human life" because I think we're all one and the same. Perhaps that's the shamanic influence in my life. We're all brothers, sisters, everything has spirit, the rest is just a Dreaming.

Regardless, the flesh I wear is hungry, and I think it's time for dinner.
