2010 Peppers

Bull Nose
Large, deep-ridged almost square pods boast sweet/hot and flavorful flesh . Scarlet walls are sweet, heavy and thick; fruits are uniform in size, shape and earliness. Ribs can be quite pungent. Great fresh or stuffed. Indentation on blossom end resembles a bull's nose. Very early, reliable, prolific producer. Heirloom from India. Amelia Simmons refers to these in her 1796 “American Cookery” (said to be the first American cookbook, by the way). Bull Nose is becoming quite scarce.

Healthy Pepper
Early maturing, 4 - 6 in. long, sweet, triangle-shaped fruits do not need much sun and ripen even during cloudy summers. Resistant to disease and rotting. Bears over a long season. Hard-to-find, reliable, Russian heirloom.

Lipstick
Very early specialty pepper. 5" cone shaped fruits ripen a glossy, rich lipstick red. Sweet flavor many people prefer to bell peppers. Dependably early, heavy yields even in cool summers. One of the most delicious and sweetest peppers on the market. Excellent for salsa, salads, cooking, and roasting.

Jupiter
One of the best sweet peppers ever. High yields of jumbo, 4-lobed, thick green walls that ripen deep red. Sweet fruits with a full pepper flavor that expresses well in pasta sauces and stir fries.
